Effect of alloying elements and temperature on strength of cryogenic austenitic steels

In this paper, the law of variation of the strengths of cryogenic austenitic steels with temperature and alloying elements is studied. Based on a large number of experimental data, a series of regression expressions have been obtained by calculating on a computer: σ 0.2 300=σ 0.2 0+f Me ; σ 0.2=σ 0....

Zusammenfassung:In this paper, the law of variation of the strengths of cryogenic austenitic steels with temperature and alloying elements is studied. Based on a large number of experimental data, a series of regression expressions have been obtained by calculating on a computer: σ 0.2 300=σ 0.2 0+f Me ; σ 0.2=σ 0.2 300 exp A 300−T ; σ b 300=σ b 0+f Me ; σ b =σ b 300 exp B 300−T . The results of the calculation prove to be satisfactory after verification. These results are applicable to the strength calculation and designs of cryogenic austenitic steels.
