Zusammenfassung: | This paper is concerned with the evaluation of nonsymmetrical components of the Green's function of a Hertzian dipole present in a multilayered medium. The integrand of these components has a slowly varying tail which makes the discrete complex image method inefficient in representing the near field. In this work, the slowly varying tail is represented using real images whose locations are determined a priori. The amplitudes of these images are evaluated using a simple least square algorithm. The near field computed by this method is shown to yield good results for a half space and microstrip structures. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 28: 199–202 (2001). |
