Fabrication of Bi sub(2)Sr sub(2)CaCu sub(2)O sub(8+ delta ) films and intrinsic Josephson junctions
We have investigated Bi sub(2)Sr sub(2)Ca sub(1)Cu sub(2)O sub(8+ delta ) (Bi2212) films made by pulsed laser ablation technique with various compositions of the target material like Bi sub(2)Sr sub(2)Ca sub(1) Cu sub(2)O sub(8), Bi sub(4)Sr sub(2)Ca sub(1)Cu sub(2)O sub(8) (Bi4212), Bi sub(2)Sr sub...

Zusammenfassung: | We have investigated Bi sub(2)Sr sub(2)Ca sub(1)Cu sub(2)O sub(8+ delta ) (Bi2212) films made by pulsed laser ablation technique with various compositions of the target material like Bi sub(2)Sr sub(2)Ca sub(1) Cu sub(2)O sub(8), Bi sub(4)Sr sub(2)Ca sub(1)Cu sub(2)O sub(8) (Bi4212), Bi sub(2)Sr sub(2)Ca sub(1)Cu sub(4)O sub(8) (Bi2214) and Bi sub(4)Sr sub(3)Ca sub(3)Cu sub(4)O sub(8) (Bi4334). Films from Bi2212 and Bi4334 targets show onset at T sub(c)~91 K and zero resistance at ~84 K and 71 K respectively. The Bi2214 films show an onset at ~91 K and zero resistance at ~60 K. Unlike these, Bi4212 films do not exhibit any superconducting transition. We also report a comparison of the microstructure, connectivity and crystallinity of these films determined by AFM and XRD. In addition, the fabrication of intrinsic junctions in films deposited on high angle step edges on SrTiO sub(3) is reported |
