Zusammenfassung:EDX analysis has been used to detect precipitates containing titanium and niobium, which have been found at reheat temperatures up to 1250 deg C. Elemental mapping has shown that the base cube is titanium nitride, whereas the niobium is mainly situated in caps sitting on the cube or in layers surrounding the cube. The presence of niobium containing precipitates after reheating at these temperatures contradicts the dissolution temperatures calculated using published solubility data.
