Stress corrosion cracking of silver alloys in gaseous environments. Bromine vapour
Stress corrosion cracking (SCC) susceptibility of Ag-15Pd (at%), Ag5Au (at%), Ag15Au (at%) and Ag40Au (at%) in argon containing bromine vapour, was studied. As predicted by the surface mobility-SCC mechanism, SCC was found in those environments where high surface mobility was reported.
