Zusammenfassung:The normal grain growth sweep constant, θ *, is determined from a volume-based continuity equation, and equivalent forms of θ * are given for various distribution parameters and normalization factors, A simple algorithm to obtain θ * from experimental data is also presented. The significance of introducing a stochastic component to the grain growth is described, and the extension of the sweep constant concept to particle coarsening is discussed.
