Displaying the network

Advancing technology is expected to make it feasible to build an intelligent display system with information-processing capability: a system that will be able to provide new functionality, including support for a large number of pixels (10-100 million) and network connectivity. Such display should acquire first-class citizenship in a network environment. This paper aims to investigate the architecture for just such intelligent display system, which is believed should be scalable with respect to the number of pixels and modular for flexibility in system implementations.
