Zusammenfassung:Previously abstracted from original as item 199505-31-1392. A model is proposed which allows the prediction of fatigue crack growth in the case when the load spectrum involves peak and block tensile overloads. The model is based on the consideration of the contribution of various factors into crack growth retardation. The proposed model has been verified experimentally on specimens of 1Kh2MFA steel. It is shown that the model can be used as the basis of the method for predicting the service life of structural elements with cracks operating under irregular loading regimes.
