Zusammenfassung:The influence of Al super(3+) on the growth of TiO sub(2) microcrystals and the transformation of anatase to rutile in the calcination of metatitanic acid is investigated. The final distribution of Al super(3+) in the particles is shown to follow the thermodynamics of adsorption of Al super(3+) dissolved in the bulk of the crystal to surface sites.
