Zusammenfassung: | The response of a microwave filter can generally be represented over the frequency range of interest by a physically‐based equivalent circuit using discrete or distributed elements. A computer‐aided procedure is described for determining the values of the circuit parameters for the most general response allowed by the circuit topology. The procedure is illustrated by application to: a coupled cavity filter that can be realized with cascaded quad‐ and tri‐sections; a six‐pole filter with a similar response; a novel mixed‐digit filter; and a quasi‐low‐pass, stepped impedance filter. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
