Zusammenfassung: | Interpolymer complex formation between poly(N‐vinyl‐2‐pyrrolidone) (PVP) and poly(monomethyl itaconate) (PMMel) has been studied. Data from Dynamic Light Scattering show at least two different size distributions of polymer complex (PC). The PC size distributions increase when the temperature increases. Viscosity measurements were also performed in order to estimate the polycomplex segmental density. From these results it can be concluded that PVP and PMMel give rise to a polycomplex formation and the driving force for this association is hydrogen bonding as much as hydrophobic interactions. |
