A note on problems in 3D boundary layer computations in streamline coordinates

Zusammenfassung: | A finite-difference method based on streamline coordinates is here used to compute turbulent boundary layers with convergent and divergent external streamlines of a flat plate in the neighborhood of a plane of symmetry. While divergent-case results are satisfactory, error growth is noted for the convergent flowfield. A modified, more restrictive definition of the domain of dependence eliminates that part of the computational domain where the largest error growth occurs. (AIAA) |
