Explicit algebraic stress model of turbulence with anisotropic dissipation
It is shown how the effects of anisotropic dissipation can be systematically incorporated into explicit algebraic stress models by a simple readjustment of the coefficients. Zusammenfassung: | It is shown how the effects of anisotropic dissipation can be systematically incorporated into explicit algebraic stress models by a simple readjustment of the coefficients. For homogeneous turbulent flows that are close to equilibrium, it is shown that the results obtained with such models are virtually indistinguishable from those obtained using a full second-order closre model with the anisotropic dissipation rate model of Speziale and Gatski (1995).
