Zusammenfassung: | Previously abstracted from original as item 199507-31-2210. A review is presented on researches into designing steels intended for automotive industry. The first stage of steel modification included measures aimed to stabilize austenitic grain size, to decrease nonmetallic inclusion amount and to limit aluminium and sulfur contents. The analysis of deformability, weldability, corrosion resistance of steels type 08Yu and 1F customly used for manufacture of autocar bodies shows that the best properties are typical for electrolytic or hot zinc coated steels. A new steel type ATs40KhGFB substituted for type 40KhGNM and made it possible to avoid heat treatment after forging. On the basis of austenitic stainless steels new promising materials are designed with higher machinability and wear resistance. |
