Zusammenfassung: | Ni-gamma Al2O3 composites were prepared by electrolytic codeposition using a rotating disc electrode. The effects of current density, particle concentration and agitation were investigated. Ni deposition efficiency and polarisation behaviour were substantially altered by the presence of Al2O3 particles. Anomalous behaviour in these measurements coincided with the appearance of a peak in particle incorporation in the film. The behaviour was attributed to competition between the charge-transfer controlled Ni deposition reaction, and the mass-transfer limitation of the Al2O3 deposition process at high currents. 23 refs. |
