Thermomechanical analysis of fired ceramic materials
A thermomechanical analysis of fired clay specimens was carried out and empirical equations were derived for dilatation and shrinkage as a function of temperature (20-750 C; 750-1000 C; 20-1000 C). The thermomechanical processes occurring in the clays were described by dilatometric curves. The exper...

Zusammenfassung: | A thermomechanical analysis of fired clay specimens was carried out and empirical equations were derived for dilatation and shrinkage as a function of temperature (20-750 C; 750-1000 C; 20-1000 C). The thermomechanical processes occurring in the clays were described by dilatometric curves. The experimental results obtained can be used in designing optimum firing schedules for preparing ceramics from polymineralic clays. 2 refs. |
