Zusammenfassung: | The nutrient film technique (NFT) is here used to ascertain the effect of ambient temperature regimes and various CO2 levels on the growth of two different sweet potato cultivars, 'Ga Jet' and 'TI-155'. Both cultivars exhibit a distinctive diurnal stomatal response for growth in NFT under an ambient CO2 level, and neither cultivar produced storage roots for a 24-photoperiod when their plants were grown at a constant temperature of 28 C. The Ga Jet cultivar produced storage roots when subjected to a 28 C diurnal /22 C nocturnal temperature cycle. (AIAA) |
