Zusammenfassung: | Tensile and compressive properties of 3D braided composites with various thickness and fiberangle, which were fabricated using carbon fiber and epoxy resin were studied. The composites showed high strength and high modulus in the braid direction and the modulus agreed well to the calculated value. Properties of the composite changed according to the thickness due to cliff errent property in the skin and core of the composite. In the composite with braid-angle of 25°, the modulus of the skin was about twice the core. Poisson's ratio measured on the side plane decreased as the thickness increased and reached the same level as that measured on the front plane on the specimens having a thickness same to the width. |
