Zusammenfassung: | The chemical and mineralogical compositions of slags obtained in blast-furnace, open-hearth, and electrosmelting production at various plants were analysed. A technology for producing stabilised dolomite refractories using 40-45% metallurgical slags was developed. Charge compositions and properties of briquettes and fired bodies are given. A high-quality product was obtained using open-hearth slags and slags from electrosmelting of alloyed steels. The stabilised dolomite articles have satisfactory properties, and are suitable as an alternative to chromite-@close@ periclase products. 1 ref. |
