Zusammenfassung:Durability and reliability are the two fundamental aspects concerning the design of a new product. The Weibull distribution has emerged as a way of measuring the reliability of materials through the shape parameter, m, known as the Weibull modulus. The present work attempts to study the reliability of four different sintered stainless steels, using as one mechanical property the measurement of tensile strength, and, as another, the level of homogeneity using as measurement method the Weibull modulus, with the reference property being hardness. The results are justified through a microstructural study.
