Reasoning in H-net: a unified approach to intelligent hypermedia systems

H-net is a Petri net based formal model of hypermedia/hypertext. Being powerful in the description of hypermedia, H-net can model the information in hypermedia and the knowledge of hypermedia naturally in a unified Petri net based way. This makes H-net good for the modeling of intelligent hypermedia systems. In this paper, a unified reasoning algorithm is proposed to define the dynamic behavior of H-net. Using the Petri net theory based algorithm, the reasoning in hypermedia information subnets, fuzzy production rule subnets and semantic subnets can be performed efficiently and uniformly.
