Production of technetium compounds of high radiochemical purity

An optimal technological scheme is developed for cleaning technetium industrial preparations from attendant radioactive impurities with simultaneous organization of initial KTcO sub 4 conversion in NH sub 4 TcO sub 4 . The last compound is the most acceptable chemical form for subsequent obtaining of metallic technetium. Experimental data are presented on the analysis of industrial preparations of technetium and technetium compounds obtained after cleaning from radioactive impurities in conformity with the developed technological schemes. It is shown that realization of this technology permits to decrease the content of transuranium elements not less than 10 times and cesium not less than 100 times.
