Zusammenfassung: | The development of alloying principles for production of high-strength corrosion-resistant steel suitable for the base metal and welds suitable for industrial purposes, is discussed. Reliability of the steel for heat treatment in the temperature range -70 to 300 deg C was also taken into account for applications under various weather conditions. A carbon-free corrosion-resistant steel (03Kh12N8M2S2B (VNS-41)) of martensitic class was developed that also showed the suitability criteria mentioned above. The steel is found to retain the required level of toughness and resistance to corrosion cracking even after 500 h of heat treatment at 300 deg C. |
