The Cold Resistance of Weld Joints of Several Structural Steels After Impulse Loading

See adjacent abstract. Explosion treatment is studied for its effect on strength characteristics and viscobrittle transition temperature of welded joints of two pipe steels, the results being presented. The chosen explosion treatment conditions change but slightly the value of the above characteristics. However it is shown possible in principle to estimate the effectiveness of explosion treatment of welded joints of pipe steels by a variation of the studied strength and deformation characteristics.
