Zusammenfassung:The case of a 56-year-old man with diabetes and hypertension presented to the emergency department with shortness of breath, dizziness, and an unsteady gait for 2 days is presented..After initial evaluation, he tested positive for coronavirus disease (COV1D-19) and was discharged to home isolation with stable vital signs and strict return precautions. He returned 2 days later with worsening dyspnea and an oxygen saturation of 30% while breathing ambient air. was provided supplemental oxygen via a high-tlow nasal cannula and was maintained in stable condition for 1 week. However, his pneumonia continued to worsen, he was eventually placed on mechanical ventilation.
