Zusammenfassung:	Polyimides derived from \+i\meta\-i\-oriented diisocyanates were amorphous and soluble in dipolar aprotic solvents. Those based on \+i\para\-i\-oriented diisocyanates were semicrystalline and insoluble in organic solvents.
