Hemostatic status in women with breast cancer and cardiotoxicity associated to doxorubicin-based chemotherapy – A one-year follow-up study

•Patients with breast cancer and doxorubicin-based chemotherapy present a hypercoagulable state.•Thrombin generation showed changes in patients using doxorubicin according to cardiotoxicity.•Thrombin generation parameters may be useful in monitoring hemostasis in these patients.
