Zusammenfassung:The paper deals with the results of studies into the applicability of the materials with capillary structure, such as the metal rubber, in pressure regulators. The main advantages of the metal rubber as compared with elastomer usually used in such devices, as well as the peculiarities of the metal rubber manufacturing, are discussed. Different designs of the direct-action pressure regulators with control elements made of the metal rubber, are described. The control elements are produced using metal wires 0.05-0.5 mm in diameter, which are winded into spirals 0.3-5 mm in diameter. The spirals are placed in a mould and subjected to pressing. The applicability of the material considered is proved.
