Zusammenfassung:	The liquid membrane technique is very useful for metal ions recovery from dilute solutions. Co 2+ ions can be removed and concentrated from waste waters with an emulsion liquid membrane. The paper describes the permeation of Co 2+ using naphthenic acids as the carrier and kerosene as the membrane material. The inner phase is a HCl 3.162 x 10 -4 solution. The extraction yield is more than 96%.
