Zusammenfassung:Fatal systemic infection by Clostridium tarantellae in a wild Korean raccoon dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides koreensis) was diagnosed based on histopathology, immunofluorescence, PCR, and microbiome taxonomic profiling. Pathologic features were similar to Tyzzer's disease caused by C. piliforme. This is the first report of C. tarantellae infection in Korean raccoon dogs.
