Zusammenfassung:The irreversible laser induced darkening effect found in semiconductor doped glasses or glass based quantum dots is one of the barriers to the practical application of these materials in fast optical switching and nonlinear optical devices. Laser induced darkening causes the decrease of emission intensity and four-wave mixing signal and the increase of nonlinear response time. The irreversible laser induced darkening effect in trap free samples of CdTe quantum dots in borosilicate glass was characterized using photoluminescence spectroscopy.
