Is downregulation of liver kinase B1 the major factor driving epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition?

Liver kinase B1 regulates cell growth, polarity, metabolism, and autophagy via phosphorylation of adenosine monophosphate‐activated protein kinase, and its downregulation may stimulate epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in chronic lung allograft dysfunction. (See Rahman et al. page 843)
