Zusammenfassung:Aging treatments and tensile tests were conducted to determine the effect of Mn dispersoids on the fatigue crack propagation behavior of Al-Zn-Mg alloys. Manganese dispersoids in the alloys were found to increase the tortuosity of the crack path and improve the fatigue crack propagation properties, probably through a crack deflection and meandering effect.
