Underwater acoustics real-time data acquisition and analysis at the Defense Research Establishment Atlantic

This paper describes a suite of software applications specially tailored to underwater acoustics real-time data acquisition and analysis developed at the Defense Research Establishment Atlantic (DREA). The package has evolved to meet the needs of scientists working in several areas of underwater acoustics and so provides a wide spectrum of analysis options. The package is used to provide timely results for many projects including the performance evaluation of experimental and production sonobuoys ans sensor arrays, system studies for the Canadian Forces, research into underwater sound propagation, reverberation studies and ambient noise studies.
