Zusammenfassung: | Metal Evaporated (ME) tape has been the prominent candidate for high density, digital magnetic recording media for its high
B
r and
H
c. In this study, ME tape has been fabricated under various evaporating conditions. Raising the minimum incidence angle and the electron beam power and decreasing the thickness of the metal layer film, increased the coercivity of the ME tape. A minimum incidence angle of 50°, an oxygen flux of 0.6 SLM and a metal layer thickness of 2000 Å gave high
B
r (≈ 4000 G) and high
H
c (≈ 1000 Oe). The high
H
c in ME Tape is believed to be due to the increased anisotropy in the layer plane and the change of the microstructure. |
