Zusammenfassung: | The properties of lithium-aluminoborosilicate system glasses, namely, density, spreadability, thermal expansion, and nature of crystallised phases at various temperatures, were determined in order to assess the possibility of creating glass-ceramic binders for abrasive tools based on Elbor. The glasses were used to prepare abrasive compositions. Their strength properties were studied as a function of the composition of the glass binder and the heat treatment regime. The main crystalline phase in glasses is high-strength cordierite with a low TCLE. The maximum concentration of cordierite is attained by introducing V2O5 and a nucleating agent. This glass possesses the highest strength when used as a binder for abrasive tools made of electrocorundum and Elbor. |
