Recent dramatic increase in patients with food protein–induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES) provoked by hen’s egg in Japan

This study revealed that cases of food protein–induced enterocolitis syndrome provoked by hen’s egg increased dramatically in Japan in 2018-2019. This increase may be associated with a change in policy to early introduction of hen’s egg to high-risk infants.
