Zusammenfassung: | A technology-independent library which is appropriate for fast turn-around ASIC design is introduced. This library is based on a set of technology-independent Leaf Cells and a set of high-level user programmable Modules built using them. Distinct design rules for developing the Modules have been adopted, from a set of manufacturers' most common design rules, thus resulting in the improvement of reliability and testability of designs. Using the set of Modules, the overall design time is reduced; furthermore, the structure of the library, enhances the aptitude of the designer to select a suitable IC manufacturer when most advantageous, independently of the progress of the design. |
