Cation exchange properties of LiTi2(PO4)3 and synthesis of its microporous materials via glass
Bulk microporous ceramics comprising a skeleton of LiTi2(PO4)3 and continuous pores were prepared by a controlled crystallisation of glasses in the LiTi2(PO4)3-Ca3(PO4)2 system, followed by acid leaching of the Ca3(PO4)2 phases. The product had a specific surface area of approximately 30 m2. Excelle...

Zusammenfassung: | Bulk microporous ceramics comprising a skeleton of LiTi2(PO4)3 and continuous pores were prepared by a controlled crystallisation of glasses in the LiTi2(PO4)3-Ca3(PO4)2 system, followed by acid leaching of the Ca3(PO4)2 phases. The product had a specific surface area of approximately 30 m2. Excellent cation-exchange properties were achieved, Li+ ions readily exchanging with Na+ and Ag+ at room temperature, but not with other monovalent and divalent ions. 14 refs. |
