CONVEYANCE SYSTEM: PUMPING STATIONS AND CULVERTS. (WINNER OF 1994 JAMES WATT MEDAL)

Design and construction of the system are described. On the way to the new treatment plant at Gabal el Asfar, the sewage flows through gravity box culvert concrete conveyors. There are 3 pumping stations using centrifugal lift pumps and screw lift pumps.
