The Geotechnical Engineering Office has installed automatic rainfall data acquisition systems and formalized procedures for gathering data on landslide events. This is important in relation to the Landslide Warning System. It is suggested that to optimize landslide prediction capabilities it is useful to consider both hourly and daily rainfall levels. |
