Zusammenfassung: | Good wettability of steel by enamel melts is an important requirement for obtaining a high quality coating. The reproducibility of the contact angle of barium borosilicate glass on a steel substrate as a function of the method of preparation of the glass specimens was investigated. The contact angle was determined by the sessile drop method at 750, 760, 770, and 790 C.
