Zusammenfassung:The objective of this work is to present the theoretical and experimental analysis of possible preforms utilized in the precision forging of an axisymmetrical battery terminal. The theoretical analysis consists of the utilization of the finite-element method to characterize the material flow, and for establishing the process sequence, including the preform geometry. These results were used for designing and manufacturing a laboratory tool. Experimental analysis was undertaken also, to verify the theoretical assumptions and for further development of the project in order for the process to be utilized in a future specification of an industrial tool.
