Zusammenfassung:Two uniaxial (three- and four-point) bend tests and two biaxial (ball-on-ring and ring-on-ring) bend tests were analysed. Experimental and numerical procedures are given which yield reliable test results, and which allow for the extrapolation of uniaxial to biaxial strength data. Confirmation that suitable methods had been attained came from the comparison of the results determined in two separate laboratories. 14 refs.
