Zusammenfassung:Stationary creep finite element solutions for plane stress mixed mode I and II crack tip stress fields have been used to interpret some experimental results for the behaviour of cracks in Jethete. Using these solutions to determine the magnitude and distribution of the isochronous rupture stress function, a method of correlating crack growth rates for cracks with differing mode mixity and for predicting crack growth direction has been proposed and assessed.
