Zusammenfassung:This article traces the formation and expansion of the Spiritual Healing Church in South Africa. It also profiles the Christian prophet Mokaleng and a South African expatriete chief, Samuel Moroka. The religious movement appears to have its beginnings in the early 1920s, and some two decades later Samuel's community of refugees gave up their search for land and peace in southern Africa. The Spiritual Healing Church then emerged as a forum in which to reconsider their plight.
