Zusammenfassung: | An analytical method has been developed to predict ignition transients in solid-propellant rocket motors employing canted, impingement-type igniters. This analysis employs the basic features of the method of Peretz et al. (1973) in such a way as to extend applicability to a wider class of igniters; the modification in question involves suitable treatment of the different regions of heat transfer which arise from pyrogen-igniter jet impingement. Results are compared with test data from a monolithic grain of AP-PBAN-A1 propellant. (O.C.) |
