Molecular Transformation for Self-reproducing Vesicles and Underlying Analysis Methods

Zusammenfassung:Closed bilayer membranes of amphiphiles in water, termed vesicles, represent one of the promising models of primitive cellular compartments. Herein, we reviewed studies on the design and construction of vesicle-based cell models capable of sequential growth and division and their underlying analysis methods. We discussed the potential contribution of these studies to the universal understanding of the chemical/physical logics behind the steady reproduction of cellular membranes.
