Zusammenfassung:Previously abstracted from original as item 9308-35-1451. The data characterizing the resistance of different alloys towards intercrystlaline corrosin are summarized and briefly discussed. The described alloys are used for chemical equipment manufacture. It is shown that nowadays there is no general theory concerning mechanisms causing the intercrystalline corrosion. The process of optimization of the steel 03Kh21N21M4GB composition is considered. This steel application in manufacture of the apparatus for phosphoric acid production provides for nickel economy. Its corrosion resistance in 25-85% phosphoric acid at temperatures up to 100 deg C is considerably higher as compared with other alloys used. The properties of the alloys 03KhN28MDT and KhN30MDB are discussed as well.
