Zusammenfassung: | The COVID-19 global pandemic dramatically spurred the implementation and use of telemedicine, but also highlighted some significant disparities and gaps in our health care systems. These include limited access to care among segments of the population, uneven distribution of quality by geographic location and socioeconomic status, unabated cost inflation, rampant inefficiency, and substantial incidence of medical errors, inappropriate or ineffective care. It is time we think about optimal systems of care to meet the challenges of the future. |
